Régnié,
a convivial wine |
|
Régnié-Durette
has a friendly and welcoming image.
Interesting places to visit and things to see include the monumental
and original double-spired church that casts its protective shadow
over the vines and is the RégniéCru emblem.
The Domaine de la Grange Charton, which was built according
to rural architecture |
and
is the headquarters of the Hospices de Beaujeu estate, the magnificent
and varied panoramas from the village and surrounding hills spreading
as far as the Alps, there are many marked footpaths and of course
the Caveau des Deux Clochers.

|
There are
many events in and around the village, mostly sportive, all organised
within the rich tissue of associations in the commune, this is proof
of the great conviviality of the commune' s inhabitants as well as
the pride and pleasure the winemakers show in giving wine tastings. |

Régnié,
a wine with a taste
of the "terroir" |
|
| |
| Régnié
has original characteristics. Its robe is ruby red and it gives off
aromas of small red fruits (raspberry, red currant,...) |
and
wild black fruits (sloe, blackberry, blackcurrant,...)
with a spicy note with a mineral touch. The tannins are refined and
racy.
Supple and fleshy, it is a charmer from the May following the
harvest and retains its original qualities for at least 4 to 5 years. |
When served at 14-15 °C, it goes particularly well
with delicatessen meats, roasted or grilled meats and most cheeses.
It is a wonderful accompaniment for a meal from start to finish.
